Recovery of biodegradable municipal waste in the village of Bystričany

The goal of the project was the sustainable use of natural resources through the development of environmental infrastructure and an increase in the rate of waste recovery with a focus on preparing it for reuse and recycling and supporting waste prevention. The project was aimed at improving the situation of the village of Bystričany in the area of separate collection and treatment of biodegradable waste. The municipality has (through its budgetary organization) experience in operating a composting plant. However, the system of waste collection and preparation for recovery needed significant strengthening in the form of the purchase of equipment. Therefore, the subject of the project was mainly the purchase of containers, a tractor with accessories and a loader.
